The ITC responds to the needs and requirements of the Spanish ceramic cluster industries, having articulated a university-business cooperation system that has paid off greatly in recent years, elevating the industry to a relevant strategic position on a global scale.

Companies in the industry need to solve their problems immediately, access scientific infrastructures and highly qualified personnel in many cases, and it has been difficult for them to generate the technology to provide useful, strategic products for the current demands of society. Therefore, this Centre has been successful in addressing the R&D actions required to generate innovation and increase international leadership in the trade.
